Judge Kathleen Dumais practiced family law for 32 years. Her practice included complex divorce and custody matters. Throughout her legal career, she received numerous awards for her professionalism, integrity and expertise. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Only 38 attorneys in Maryland are fellows in the AAML. Judge Dumais served as an elected member of the Maryland House of Delegates for 19 years representing District 15 in Montgomery County where she held several leadership positions, including Majority Leader and Vice Chair of the House Judiciary and Economic Matters Committees.
