MEET THE JUDGES

EXPERIENCED. VETTED. APPROVED.

Judge Theresa Chernosky

Judge Theresa Chernosky was a career public defender for 27 years prior to being appointed to the Montgomery County Circuit Court bench. She was a litigator who fought not just for the rights of her clients but for the rights of all of us. Her career taught her not just how to litigate, which translates to fairly presiding over trials and court matters, but also how to understand, communicate with and empathize with people, which provides her with the proper demeanor and compassion to preside over matters in Circuit Court. She was vetted and invited to be a fellow in the American College of Trial lawyers, a prominent group of trial attorneys representing no more than 1% of the lawyers in each state.
